Exhibition, Event & Project Sponsorships

Sponsoring an exhibit at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery is a great opportunity for a business, large or small, to partner with a registered charity connected to the local community. With a membership and audience base made up of artists, designers, tastemakers and discerning area residents interested in all that the world has to offer, this is a great target market.

Over 18,000 visitors walked through the Gallery doors in 2015! It is one of the top tourist destinations on the Sunshine Coast and a constant host of community events open to the public, tourists and locals alike. When the rains come, we are one of few local indoor public destinations where people can flee. And arguably the best.

This is what exhibit sponsorship offers:

  • Opportunities to market your logo in Gallery promotional material, social media, news releases, communications with members & extended affiliates, as well as featured on a wall of the Gallery during an exhibit
  • Art galleries are cool. That’s a fact. Associate your business with this one!
  • An invitation to attend an exhibit opening reception, with thanks and praise, and an attentive live crowd of the arts community to pitch your business
  • Good vibes. You take part in creating a local space for people to congregate and celebrate the arts. You provide a small town with a way to connect to the processes and products of human creativity and culture. This is a gift you can give, one that keeps getting passed along, to all who walk through these doors. THANK YOU!

The Gibsons Public Art Gallery is not affiliated with any level of government. Less than 10% of our operating budget for providing this community space is funded by public money. It’s an organization, a building and an idea for the common good:  a publicly accessible space to share, discuss, teach, create and promote art and culture in our community.

The support of local business through sponsorships is essential to this endeavour.

Main Exhibit Sponsorship:    $500

Partial Exhibit Sponsorship:  $300

The Gallery is grateful to the Town of Gibsons for its ongoing support. The Town helps the Gallery through an annual $2,000 budget line item, a municipal property tax waiver, and through special project assistance (like the 2016 Squamish Nation Arts and Culture Celebration).

The Gallery thanks the Sunshine Coast Regional District for recent special project funding (2015 multi-purpose room lighting upgrade and 2016 Squamish Nation Arts and Culture Celebration).
